The restaurant Stari Kaštel is located on the top of a hill in close proximity to the Slovenian–Croatian border. The hill stands on the Croatian side of the border and in its vicinity there are the Portorož Airport, the sea and golf courses.

Getting here from the border crossing Dragonja–Croatia:

Getting to the restaurant Stari Kaštel is fairly easy. The restaurant is located in Istria, 2.5 km from the border crossing of Dragonja which separates Slovenia and Croatia. After passing through the crossing take the first turning on the left and drive along the main road. Follow the advertising signs for the restaurant Stari Kaštel and right after the road sign Kaštel/Castelvenere you will see the church of Saint Sabbas on your left.

Getting here from Portorož:

If you travel from Portorož, the restaurant Stari Kaštel is located approximately 3 km from the Slovenian-Croatian border. After passing the border crossing take the third exit (Kaštel) at the roundabout. After that take the first exit on the right and follow the advertising signs for the restaurant Stari Kaštel. Right after the road sign Kaštel/Castelvenere you will see the church of Saint Sabbas on your left.

Getting here from the Rijeka-Pula highway:

If you travel from southern or central Istria taking the Rijeka-Pula highway is the fastest way of getting to the restaurant Stari Kaštel. Follow the road signs for Kaštel, which is located near the Slovenian border. When you get to the end of the highway take the second exit (Kaštel) at the roundabout. After that take the first exit on the right and follow the advertising signs for the restaurant Stari Kaštel. Right after the road sign Kaštel/Castelvenere you will see the church of Saint Sabbas on your left.
